Famed director Quentin Tarantino said he felt like a ‘big shot’ as he received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, right in front of the TCL Chinese Theater

Just in time for the opening of his new movie, Oscar-winning filmmaker/provocateur Quentin Tarantino got his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Monday, unmolested by his police-union critics.

The Hateful Eight, Tarantino's latest blood-and-violence-drenched epic, opens Christmas Day, so Monday's ceremony was convenient for drawing attention. Tarantino has been complaining recently about how Disney's Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been blowing all other contenders out of the galaxy.

But no one was there to ruin Tarantino's moment with talk of boycotts or an unpleasant "surprise," as promised last month by some of the national police-union officials furious at Tarantino for remarks he made at a New York rally deemed "cop-hating" by some cops.
