‘He’s Not Dead, Alright?’ Newsmax’s Greg Kelly Objects to Relentless Rupert Murdoch Coverage

‘The testimonials, the retrospectives, I mean he’s still alive’

EXCERPT:

KELLY: “Well, number one, he’s not dead, alright? Today, it sounds like he died or something like that, the testimonials and retrospectives. I mean, he’s still alive and that’s fine, right? Look, I don’t like the direction Fox News has taken, especially in 2020, those ridiculous calls, especially the one about Arizona, and I don’t like the way the Murdochs treated Roger Ailes. That’s kind of been well-established. I feel like the case against him was a bogus one and they wanted him gone and they got rid of him. I don’t like any of that. However, Rupert Murdoch, you know, he’s quite a guy. I mean, he created an empire. That’s to be commended. He employed a lot of people, including you, including me for a number of years, and I’m grateful for that. We worked hard there and we earned our money, but he kept the lights on, and I do appreciate that. Sometimes these billionaires, though, I mean it’s great to be a billionaire, I think they get bored of being rich and successful and then they think, ‘Well, maybe I should be running the country. Maybe I should be running the world.’ And lately I feel like, you know, he wants to appoint the president, you know, he’s the guy who’s really in charge. He and other billionaires. And I don’t like that.”
