Jeb: We Need Someone with ‘Proven Leadership Skills to Fix’ Things; ‘I Believe I’m that Guy’

‘When we get to policy, people begin to realize that this is a serious undertaking to elect the president of the United States’

GEIST: “It’s Willie Geist. Good to have you up early with us this morning in Las Vegas. I think we agreed around this table that you had perhaps the best night last night or one of the best nights. And yet, you look at the polls and the air its consumed that the numbers are consumed by Donald Trump and Ted Cruz and to some extent Marco Rubio as well. Have you been surprised of some of your supporters have been given your resources, given your experience, given your name ID that you just haven’t fared better than you have state by state and in national polls?”

BUSH: “Willie, you know what? I don’t follow the — all that here — you back and forth as it relates to the process. I was excited last night, I don’t think a single processed question was asked. It was all about policy.”

SCARBOROUGH: “Wasn’t that great?”

BUSH: “And when we get to policy, when we get to policy people begin to realize that this is a serious undertaking to elect the president of the United States, that we’re talking about someone who has to lead this country. We’ve had seven years of divisive presidency where nothing has gotten done and we need to have someone who has proven leadership skills to fix a few big complex things and I believe I’m that guy.”
