Blumenthal: There Are ‘Very Few Errors’ When It Comes to the No-Fly List

RIVERA: "But wouldn't that slow it down, sir? You're saying there's got to be a practical obstacle as far as obtaining this list overall and getting it in the first place, and then you're saying the process to correct it, to ensure that the list is correct. How bogged down would that process get in actually having this happen?"
BLUMENTHAL: "There really as a practical matter are very few errors. A lot of public attention is given to them, but the fact of the matter is that anybody on this list by and large is subject to a reasonable suspicion of terrorist activity. And as you well know, the vast majority of names on this list, the no-fly list and the terror watch list, are names of people abroad, not United States citizens. only a fraction of them actually are Americans, citizens of this country. And there ought to be an expeditious process for appeal. But in the meantime, if you're too dangerous to fly, you're too dangerous to buy a gun."
