‘Let’s stop giving him kudos for that’

BRZEZINSKI: “David Axelrod and Michael Steele, Donny Deutsch and Mike Barnicle, Katy Kay, you all know the press or are the press; how many of you, knowing that the U.S. attorney and the FBI are going to be teaming up and starting an investigation into something that happened in your office, how many of you would subject yourself to a two-hour news conference and feel confident?”
DEUTSCH: Let’s stop giving him kudos for that!”
BRZEZINSKI: “I’m not!”
DEUTSCH: “He is a smart politician. What was he going to do? Run away?”
BRZEZINSKI: “Donny, you would do a statement and leave the room.”
DEUTSCH: “No, I wouldn't. I wouldn't be in that position, number one, OK? Number two, I wouldn't expect any -- are we giving him kudos because he took all of the questions from the press? Give me a break.”
BRZEZINSKI: “I'm not giving him kudos. I think it's a sign that he's confident in what he's saying.”
DEUTSCH: “I think it's a sign that he's in Christie-Land and I'm going to do it the way I do it and -- "
