Eric Trump: My Dad Is Frustrated Obama Will Not Acknowledge the Problem

TRUMP: “When I heard about it I figured maybe not. But it turns out, probably was related. Radical Islamic terrorism. And, I’ll tell you what, we have a president that refuses to use the term. He refuses to say it. There is something going on with him that we don’t know about. (Applause)

MACCALLUM: “You heard the applause in the room, Donald Trump speaking at the Republican-Jewish coalition, saying that the president’s refusal to use the words ‘radical Islamic terrorism’ means quote ‘something is going on with him.’ So what does he mean by that? Joining me now, Eric Trump, he’s Donald Trump’s son obviously. Good to have you with us. When your father says there is something going on with him, meaning the president, that we don’t know about. What does he mean?”
TRUMP: “My father is incredibly practical and direct guy. How do you defeat an enemy if you can’t call them by their name. We have Paris and the shooting in California. We have 9/11 here in New York City not too many blocks from where we are right now. How do you have defeat an enemy when you can’t call them by their name. Listen, this problem is not going away. I mean, when does the president acknowledge the problem? And I think that’s my father frustration.”
MACCALLUM: “And that’s the first part of what he said. The second part is, there is something going on with him that we don’t know about, meaning the president. What does your dad believe is going on with this president that we don’t know about?”
TRUMP: “Well, something. I mean, it seems like he ignores every big problem that we have as a country. The fact that we are about to go above $19 trillion in deficit. You have ISIS running all over the Middle East totally unchecked. You have so many problems around the world. Our educational systems are totally falling apart. And in fact, the conversation is not even had about those problems. It does seem like something is going on with the guy. Does he care? Who knows. Is he just, somehow disconnected? You know, I don’t know. But something seems awfully wrong when you have all these attacks around the world and all these problems and you can’t speak directly to them.”
