N.H. Union Leader Publisher: Christie Is the ‘Non-Trump Trump’

BRZEZINSKI: “And why do you — just to follow-up on what you initially said you think that Chris Christie has the ability to beat Trump, Clinton and then ISIS. Why on Trump and Clinton, as opposed to the other candidates in the field?”
MCQUAID: “Yeah. Well he’s — he’s good on his feet. If anything, he’s the non-Trump Trump. He’s sharp, he’s quick. I think people are looking for that these days. And he’s had great experience in New Jersey, both as a governor and before that as U.S. attorney, so that’s a broad field. George Will wrote a column which was an influence to me, about what Christie had to say in Florida the day after the Paris attacks [crosstalk] where he spoke about 9/11 and what we have to do and — we’re still a nation state and we’ve got to protect our nation.”
