Ben Carson: My ‘Sources’ on Syria Are Better than the White House

[RUSH TRANSCRIPT]

UNKNOWN REPORTER: “Dr. Carson, on Tuesday’s debate you said that the Chinese are in Syria. Since then the White House, Susan Rice and Ben Rhodes, have come out and said that there’s no evidence that the Chinese are in Syria, and that the Chinese military don’t tend to like to get involved in conflicts in the Middle East. Is -- do you want to revise or expand your statement [indecipherable]?”

CARSON: “We actually will be releasing some material on that before the weekend is over.”

UNKNOWN REPORTER: “Does that material — where did you get that material from? Can you give us any details about that?”

CARSON: “I have several sources that I’ve gotten material from. I’m surprised that my sources are better than theirs.”

UNKNOWN REPORTER: “Is that something that you’re going to show the White House as well, or are you in conversation — you’re claiming that you know more than the White House.”

CARSON: “They will have an opportunity to see the material, just as everybody else will.”

UNKNOWN REPORTER: “When is that going to come out?”

CARSON: “Before the weekend is over.”
