Trump’s Sons: Dad’s Running for President Because He’s ‘Fed up’ with the Waste

[RUSH TRANSCRIPT]

SCARBOROUGH: “Let’s talk about your dad running for president. What’s the biggest misconception, about your father?” 

E. TRUMP: “He is amazingly funny guy. I mean, he’s a guy who is incredibly personal, and he loves family, he’s out there he’s incredibly funny, but he’s also incredibly pragmatic. I mean, he’s a guy who believes in cutting through red tape. Stopping non-sense, getting things done. And that’s the real world. That’s what real state word that we’re all living and we work in every single day. How do you get a project from A to B? How do you get it built, how do you get it completed? How do you do on time? How do you do with under budget? That’s really the man he is. And I always say to people, you know, what would he be best at? I think infrastructure. He would be the greatest infrastructure president. He’d be amazing, amazing builder for this country. And quite frankly, a rebuilder of this country.” 

SCARBOROUGH: “You’ve heard about your dad running for president for some time. He’s talked about it —“ 

TRUMP: “Couple of days, couple of days.”

SCARBOROUGH: No, but he’s talked about it through the years. I mean since 2000. Did you really think he was going to take the jump and why do you think he’s been [indecipherable] this? —“ 

TRUMP JR. “I think he’s fed up with what’s going on. He’s got a great life. He’s got a great job. I think it’s great that we’ve actually trust [indecipherable] to perhaps run the business. Because, this is something that’s taking 100% of his time right now. And it’s really important for him to see the country get back on track. If people making deals who’ve never made other deals, ever in their lives. And these are the deals that our kids and their kids behind them are going to have to live with forever, and he’s fed up. He’s fed up of the waist, the inefficiency and the frankly stupidity that it out there. So, it’s great to see him in there. It’s great to see him so passionate and it’s great to see the people’s reaction to him. They realize now on the campaign trail he’s not this corporate juggernaut kind of guy. He’s a guy like them. He’s an American and he’s a patriot.”
