EXCERPT:

DOMENECH: “I think with a lot of the different things in terms of the way that they'd like the House to run, but the way that they've gone about trying to achieve these demands, has resulted in essentially, this terrorist standoff between them and the overwhelming majority of people in their conference, people who they're supposed to work with as a team. And I think that unfortunately, the way that this is all playing out is Kevin McCarthy is still likely from my perspective to end up being the speaker of the House, because no one else can come close to getting the level of votes that he gets, but at the same time, he's going to end up being a speaker, who may not have the strength or ability to advance an agenda at a time when Americans absolutely need to see the kind of oversight and the kind of pushback against this Biden agenda that they demanded by giving them the reins of the house in the first place. So they may end up in a situation where they get a good deal of what they want, this band of 20 but they ended up neutering the ability to actually achieve anything in terms of their policy goals.”
