CNN’s Zeleny: Jeb hits Rubio Because He Is Directly in Bush’s ‘Lane of Traffic’

‘— But the challenge for Jeb Bush is the reality he faces’

RUSH TRANSCRIPT:

BALDWIN: “On the jabs, he said the challenges we face as a nation are too great to roll the dice on another presidential experiment. When he said experiment, was he alluding to Rubio who he has been hitting or to trump or Cruz? Who do you think?”

ZELENY: “I think all of the above. But I think Rubio, first and foremost, because Marco Rubio is directly in Jeb Bush's lane of traffic, if you will. He is directly sort of emerging as this new, fresh face from Florida. Jeb Bush never thought that that would happen. At least you guys have so close. He's referred to him as the Republican Barack Obama. I think he was definitely referring to Marco Rubio in that speech. It could also apply to Ted Cruz, Donald Trump. He's basically saying we don't knee somebody from one side of the capital to fix the other. But the challenge for Jeb Bush is the reality he faces. He's running in 2015-2016. We are a dynamic society by social media, television, other things. So this is his challenge. Maybe it will work for him. Maybe not. He has to reboot here. By taking on Marco Rubio like that, I'm not sure if that's tough enough. We'll have to see.”
