W.H.: President Is Willing ‘To Protect the Basic 2nd Amendment Rights’

JANSING: "And then would love you to comment on what some of the Republicans are saying. I will just make this final question. Donald Trump said last night that President Obama is working on an executive order to take American's guns away, something that's getting a lot of pick up, particularly in conservative media. Do you want to respond to that?"
EARNEST: “Well, I think the president has made no [indecipherable] about the fact that he’s prepared to use every element of his administrative authority to keep guns out of the hands of criminals. I think the president's track record makes clear that he doesn't just respect, but actually is going to protect the basic Second Amendment rights of law abiding Americans. Those are just the facts about the president's record, about the president's priority, and we certainly would welcome others who share that common sense view for making their voices heard."
JANSING: "So Trump is lying, or he's misinformed?"
EARNEST: “I have no idea what Donald Trump is doing."(Laughter)
