DESANTIS: “But even with no state income tax, Florida just ended its most recent fiscal year with the largest budget surplus in the history of our state.

Represented 20 percent of the budget was surplus. And none of that would have been possible had we allowed our state to descend into some type of Faucian dystopia, where people’s freedoms were curtailed and their livelihoods were destroyed. No, we saw how people in places like Pennsylvania were locking people down, and in Florida we lifted people up.”
