Politicians on Oregon Tragedy: Shoot First, Aim Later

‘Sitting on the sidelines is not an option’

In the immediate aftermath of the horrible mass slaying in Roseburg, Ore., politicians wasted no time calling for new laws to ostensibly prevent such tragedies from happening again. 

Only problem?

When pressed, no one seemed to have any ideas for what kind of law could actually prevent such a tragedy from happening. 

No matter. Despite having no obvious legislative solution, these pols pressed forth with their insistence that Congress must act.
