Dr. Siegel: Fauci’s ‘Doom and Gloom’ Comment on Christmas Was ‘Awkward at Best’

‘To come in with a doom and gloom comment right now....sends the exact wrong message’

EXCERPT:

SIEGEL: "Yeah, that comment was pretty awkward at best. And I’ll tell you what the problem is, Sandra. It’s that Dr. Fauci is a researcher, an immunologist and a vaccinologist, but he doesn’t see patients every day. And I see patients every day and they're all asking me about their travel plans for the holidays already. And you know what I tell them? I tell them, look to see if the area you’re planning on going to has a lot of restrictions, how you get tested, can you do it with a home kit where you mail in the results. Watch out for airports, where are you flying? What are your airplanes? That's the kind of questions we get asked and we answer. To come in with the doom and gloom comment right now at a time when the numbers are now down over 30 percent across the country and we look like we may be coming out of the Delta variant or at least starting to, sends the exact wrong message because there’s another pandemic here, Sandra. It’s the pandemic of despair, the pandemic of stress and depression and anxiety and hopelessness. We don’t need to hear now don’t travel for Christmas when very well we will be probably able to travel as long as we take precautions. That's the message."
