Surgeon General: Vaccine Mandates ‘Will Not Only Improve Public Health, But Give People More Peace of Mind’

‘Dana, if we ultimately want to not only get people back to work but keep them at work, we want workers to know, I’m coming back to the workplace and it’s going to be safe’

RUSH EXCERPT:

MURTHY: “Well, certainly I respect people will have a variety of opinions on some of these measures. The governors have been extraordinary partners. Republican and democratic governors we’ve had the privilege of working with them closely over the last many months. So, yes, from time to time there will be disagreements on policies. But that doesn’t mean that we don’t symptom dialoguing and working with one another. But again, the reason we are pursuing some of these requirements again is we know a lot of businesses have welcomed it. We know that many will help keep workplaces safe. Dana, if we ultimately want to not only get people back to work but keep them at work, we want workers to know I’m coming back to the workplace and it’s going to be safe. These vaccinations will help people do that. That will not only improve public health but give people more peace of mind.”
