GREENE: “Republicans running against the phrase 'defund the police' was their attempt to wield a narrative as a weapon and quite frankly Dan, what we are seeing is that whole strategy backfired on them because for years, if not decades Republicans have literally been the party of defund the police, they fought Obama, they did not support Democrats under Trump and they fought President Biden on providing funds to state and local government for them to be able to replenish their public sector employees. Police officers are public sector employees and Republicans have been defunding them for decades.”
