If all goes right in the world, the first paragraph in this chapter of the history books will be about a president who knowingly oversaw the catastrophic response to a plague that killed over 600,000 people. That is the true legacy of Donald Trump. That legacy lives on now in many states, particularly conservative states, states that voted for Donald Trump, where people have died at the highest rates and where people are not getting vaccinated and even close to the rates in blue states. We're starting to see case numbers tick up in exactly the places you would expect from looking at those vaccination rates.
