Fareed Zakaria: We Cannot Underestimate the Degree to Which the World Has Been Impressed by the Vaccination Drive

We are entering the post-pandemic world faster and more fully than any other country in the world. Everybody is envious about that. The second piece is this very important announcement, which we think is going to come, of donating 500 million vaccines to the world. So, what you’re demonstrating is American power and American generosity. This — the infrastructure agenda, look, these are democracies. They understand politics. They understand there is going to be back and forth. But those two first things, the fact that the U.S. Government is leading the world in vaccines and is now willing to offer half-a-billion vaccines to the poorest countries in the world, that’s a pretty powerful one-two punch."
