The Five Panel: People Would Rather Receive $800 Per Week than Work for a $1000 Per Week

‘People would rather sit home on their couch and not work’

RUSH EXCERPT:

WATTERS: “Do you remember Luigi from my wedding? Out in Huntington, great spot, he is now short busboys, hostesses, bartenders and waiters going into the busiest weekend of the year, mother’s day weekend because if you are working at his place you are taking home $1,000 a week but you could also get paid $800 to sit home on your couch and not work. People would rather sit home on their couch and not work, he saying and leave that extra $200 on the table and that’s a huge problem, not only does it hurt the small business owners, the backbone of the U.S. economy but it hurts us, the consumer because restaurants aren’t going to be operating at full capacity and that means you can get a reservation.”
