Dr. Jha on AstraZeneca: ‘I Am Worried that They Are Stopping the Vaccinations for Something Not Related to the Vaccine at All’

JHA: “The situation in Europe is difficult. They have really seen that rise of that B1.1.7. This is what we have all been worried about in the United States, that we might see another surge. I really am pretty confident, or let's say at least hopeful that we are going to avoid that surge here. But Europe is not. Because their vaccination has [indecipherable]. And then to your question around the AstraZeneca vaccine. You know, I've seen no data so far that makes me think that these blood clots are from the vaccine. Blood clots are common, particularly among older people and I am worried that they are stopping the vaccinations for something that's not related to the vaccine at all.”
