Scarborough: ‘Liars Like Ron Johnson Undermined Americans’ Faith in Democracy’

‘What a disgrace to the United States Senate’

EXCERPT:

SCARBOROUGH: "If you take Donald Trump’s conspiracy theories about Covid and then add to that Donald Trump conspiracy theories about a widespread voter fraud, something that all of his federal judge appointees said just wasn’t true, something the United States Supreme Court said wasn’t true and John Cornyn wasn’t upset about that, I guess it’s okay if the president of the United States spreads those wild conspiracy theories, undermines Americans' faiths in democracy more than Vladimir Putin’s lies about this country could ever do, and just sits back quietly and smiles while he does it. You take what John Cornyn has said, you look, of course, at what Ron Johnson has said. We know now why Ron Johnson’s — biggest newspaper in Ron Johnson’s state said, Willie, the man should resign. What a disgrace. What a disgrace to the United States Senate. What a disgrace to the state of Wisconsin. They’re used to that, of course. It’s Joe McCarthy’s old home state. And what a disgrace to the United States Senate that he just keeps lying. This would be — this is kind of like — I won’t mention any names, but there were some people on TV shows that were 9/11 truthers. This is what Ron Johnson is doing. Actually it’s probably even more devastating because again, liars like Ron Johnson have undermined Americans' faith in democracy, in our most precious democratic institutions. And he keeps doing it."
