RUSH TRANSCRIPT:

CHRIS CHRISTIE: "-- belief that not only all of us can achieve whatever dream we want because of the place we live and the opportunities it gives us about that we cannot only do it together but have to work together. This country needs to work together again. Not against each other. We have no choice. [Applause]

"When I became governor six years ago, we had a state that was in economic calamity and $11 billion deficit on a $29 billion budget and the taxes were raised 115 times in the eight years before I became governor, a state that no longer believed any one person could make a difference in the lives of the stat and we rolled up our sleeves and balanced six budgets in a row, refused to raise taxes on the people in the state for the six years -- [applause]

"We made the hard decisions that had to be made to improve our education system, we reformed nure for the first time in 105 years. We made the difficult decision to reform pensions and health benefits and we have stood together against each and every person, every cynic who said why are you wasting your time, the state is not governable but we have proved you can govern the state and lead it to a better day. That is what we did together."
