Zuckerberg: Feds ‘Really Blew It’ with NSA, Must Become Transparent

‘I hope that they become more transparent’

Zuckerberg Offers Obama Advice on Healthcare.gov, Says Gov’t ‘Blew It’ on Surveillance (Mediaite)

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg spoke to This Week With George Stephanopoulos on Sunday morning to promote his pro-immigration reform efforts, and also offered his opinions on both the National Security Agency’s expansive surveillance program and the troubled Obamacare website.

“I certainly think we all want national security, right?” Zuckerberg said. “We want to live in a safe country and we want to be protected from risk. [But] there’s always a balance in terms of doing the right things and also being clear in telling people about what you’re doing. I think the government really blew it on this one, and I honestly think that they’re continuing to blow it in some ways. And I hope that they become more transparent in that part of it.”

Zuckerberg was also asked about Healthcare.gov, which many critics say could have used an infusion of Silicon Valley entrepreneurial talent.
