Neera Tanden: Trump Attacking Kamala Harris ‘Will Drive Suburban Housewives to the Polls Against Him’
MELVIN: "You also have to wonder, Neera, I mean, at some point — I mean, the president has used adjectives nasty and shrill to describe so many women over the last few years. You also need to wonder if perhaps people have become desensitized to it."
TANDEN: "You know, I think — I actually think it’s -- it's going to have the opposite effect for women. I think 2 1/2 months out from the election Donald Trump attacking an African-American woman, a woman who is — has a great American story, with his typical attacks, I think it really actually will drive the suburban housewives to the polls against him. And my own view is when he makes these attacks, he really makes that gender gap larger."
