Chuck Todd: Hillary Clinton ‘Has Flipped on a Whole Series of Issues’

TODD: “It is — and by the way, we’re transitioning Hillary Clinton. Somebody who was for these trade agreements before being a candidate, and now is trying to stay neutral, sort of trying to carve out territory, by the way, like Nancy Pelosi. I will be curious to see what happens today if it has any impact on what she might say in her speech tomorrow. But look, there’s a bunch of things I’m curious about. Number one is — it’s the first time she’s attempted to answer the why question; why does she want to be a president. She never did it in ‘07 and ‘08 and I think it came back to haunt her. The second thing is, how did she — she has made a huge pivot to the Left. She has flipped on a whole series of issues if you look at it over a ten-year span. All the flips toward the Progressive side of the aisle. How does she convince Democrats that these are changes of conviction, not changes of convenience? I think that’s a challenge for her. And then of course the other part which they’ve telegraphed is they want to reintroduce her basically as Hillary Rodham; like Meet Hillary Rodham. You know the former first lady —“
