A-Rod Explains Why He Stormed Out of Grievance Hearing

‘I probably overreacted’

Alex Rodriguez stomped out of his own grievance hearing Wednesday, furious that arbitrator Fredric Horowitz had ruled that Commissioner Bud Selig did not have to testify.

According to ESPN, Rodriguez slammed his hand on a table during the hearing at at Major League Baseball’s Park Avenue office and cursed Rob Manfred, baseball’s chief operating officer. “This is ridiculous,” he shouted, according to ESPN, shortly before noon. He pointed at Manfred and said, “You know you’re full of [expletive]!”

The hearing, in its 12th day, concerns a grievance filed by the Major League Baseball Players Association after A-Rod was suspended 211 games by baseball last summer because of alleged violations of the drug agreement and CBA.
