Mark Penn: There’s Not Much of a Presidential Race at the Moment; It’s Trump Against Trump

‘After all 60% say the virus is the number one issue followed by healthcare, followed by the economy’

EXCERPT:

PENN: "Well, I think — I think they are definitely going to react. I don’t think there’s much of a presidential race at the moment. It’s really President Trump against President Trump. After all, 60% say the virus is the number one issue, followed by healthcare, followed by the economy, concern about the economy is rising, 58% want to balance between measures that make us safe and that keep the economy. President Trump here, you know, generally has seen his ratings go up, but on the other hand this crisis isn’t over and they're reserving judgment. I don’t think right now a horse race between Biden and Trump means anything. It's how President Trump gets out of this, because this is the major crisis confronting the country. It’s a presidential test almost unlike any other."
