BRZEZINSKI: "During his time in office President Donald Trump has been consistently tied to his apparent business conflicts of interest, but Michael Bloomberg says this won’t be an issue for him as he plans to sell his $60 billion company if elected. Yesterday his campaign announced that Bloomberg would put his name sake company into a blind trust and proceed to sell it if he wins in 2020. The former mayor of New York City currently owns about 90 percent of Bloomberg LP and said that all the money from the potential sale of his company would go into his charity, Bloomberg Philanthropies. Bloomberg has in the past repeated this sentiment and has also criticized Trump for not doing the same. Instead the president handed the Trump Organization over to his sons. Bloomberg said that the only restrictions he would put on the sale of his company is that it not be sold to a foreign buyer or to a private equity company.”
