The Hill’s A.B. Stoddard: ‘The Media Gave Hillary Clinton a Serious Break’

‘If you are going to run for president, if you want to be a great secretary of State, why do you let there be any smoke?’

A.B. Stoddard and Bill Hemmer on the Clinton Foundation scandal.

BILL HEMMER, FOX NEWS: There is more to this, we are just scratching the surface, as we are literally pulling back the onion. I am curious what the media's appetite is for this and how will voters react?

A.B. STODDARD, THE HILL: I thought the media gave Hillary Clinton a serious break with the role of her campaign. She didn't answer many questions until one day when she answered a few, criticized her critics. She didn't let them in and I don't know when she is going to be answering serious questions and why the media isn't asking about the Iran deal and other serious questions right now.

In addition to that. You look the voters. They are more skeptical than they were in '08. Marsha Blackburn, the Congresswoman you had on earlier in the show talked about the trust level. If you never knew anything about the Clintons until now, you are a voter who is coming in and not as hopeful as last time Hillary Clinton ran for office last time. That trust is bad. And also what Bret Baier said; guilt might be inferred if a government official is indirectly or implicitly offering favors -- if you know you want to run for president or be a good secretary of state why let there be any murky area, any smoke?
