Sen. Durbin: McConnell Has Done More Damage in This Institution Than I Can Imagine

DURBIN: "Chris, let me just tell you something, under his leadership there’s been more damage done to this institution than I can even describe to you. Consider one basic fact. We’re now ending a calendar year and during that calendar year there have been 22 amendments voted on the floor of the U.S. Senate, 22 in an entire year, six by Senator Rand Paul. It’s an indication of a Senate that is out to lunch and frankly has walked away from its basic constitutional responsibility. Senator McConnell, who started working as a staffer in the Senate, served in the Senate for many years, has done more damage to this institution than I can imagine."
