On Friday's edition of Overtime, the online-only portion of HBO's Real Time, host Bill Maher said Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas was only nominated because he's black.
"I don't think appointing Clarence Thomas to the Supreme Court was putting America first," Maher said of former President George H. W. Bush's decision to nominate Thomas. "That was a shitty thing to do."
"Many scholars have said he said is the least qualified person who has ever been on the Supreme Court," Maher said.
