This is about the conduct of the president of the United States trying to persuade a foreign leader, pressure a foreign leader, to interfere in an American presidential election. And holding up military aid, we should remember Ukraine was attacked by the Russians and they took part of their country, they are killing Ukrainians in eastern Ukraine and they are in an active war. Military assistance and alliance with the United States is the tip of the spear and protecting against Russian aggression, and at that moment the president directed that aid be withheld until he got an assurance that they would do an investigation on his political rival.
