Chuck Schumer to Reporters: If You Know Who the Whistleblower Is You Should Let Me Know

‘Whistleblowers should be protected’

SCHUMER: “This this has nothing to do with answering questions about the status of impeachment or the status of the trial. This has to do with what America is all about and a law that was passed in a bipartisan way."

REPORTER: "Would that apply to the Democratic Party [inaudible]?"

SCHUMER: "It would apply — whistleblowers should be protected, period. Period. And no one knows who he is, or if you do, you should let me know."
