Michelle Obama: Malia and Sasha Shield Me from Music with Bad Language

‘They’re like, “you don’t want to hear this mom, the language is too bad”‘

FALLON: “Obviously, you have the rhythm and you can dance and you love music, I  know that. Where would the first lady listen to music? I’d feel like that would be a thing that you can’t do anymore.”
MICHELLE OBAMA: “No, no. I can, absolutely. I have an Ipod. I usually just put my earphones in in the car. I am always listening to music. That’s the way I kind of settle myself ... Now, I am at the stage where my kids are introducing me the music and they are like, ‘You don’t want to hear this mom, language is too bad’ ...

One thing I love about my husband even tough he travels, he comes in, he can enforce, he can, you know ... But the other day the girls were trying to clue him into what a group chat was on text ... He didn’t know. So we’re sitting around the dinner table and they all kind of looked at him and Malia said, ‘Oh, dad, you are so detached.’ (Laughter)
