Following the conclusion of President Barack Obama’s address to supporters at the port of New Orleans on Friday, NBC News reporter Luke Russert observed that the president delivered a “full-throated” defense of the Affordable Care Act. He touched Obama’s interview with NBC News reporter Chuck Todd where the president said he is “sorry” some were misled into believing they could keep their health plans when many are losing them. Russert said this is being spun by Republicans as an apology for the law itself.
“It seems as if the president has, perhaps, changed his strategy,” MSNBC anchor Craig Melvin observed.
