Sanders: Trump’s Approach to Climate Change Is Idiotic

SANDERS: “No. Look, Donald Trump is the only president of the United States that we have. And when you have a president who has access to all of the scientific information, who can make a phone call and bring every scientist in the world in his office, when you have a president of the United States who rejects and turns his back on that science, maybe it was a harsh word, but he’s called me worse. So, yeah, I think it is just idiotic, if you like that — that a president — a president takes that — has that type of approach toward climate change. And, again, it is — forget the word “Idiot,” it is so dangerous. We are the most powerful country on Earth. We should be leading the world through a global energy transition and you have a president who thinks it’s not real. That is idiotic.”
