John Sununu: It Sounds Like Bernie Sanders Is Having His Policies Written by Nicolas Maduro

‘This is socialism to the extreme’

EXCERPT:

SMITH: “And if we could look at this proposal by Bernie Sanders offering to wipe out all of this medical debt. When you look at on the books, $81 billion — sorry, $88 billion was borrowed last year to cover medical expenses. That was 12 months leading up to April when Gallup took that pole. There is a lot of debt out there, could this message work for him?"
SUNUNU: "Well it sounds like Bernie Sanders is having his policies and statements written by the Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro. I mean, this is socialism to the extreme. I think it indicates that Bernie has decided he is down to a two-person race with Elizabeth Warren and what he has to do in order to win is to out pander her. And -- and so you’re going to see a continuing series of all of these. But the other thing that comes out of the statement and Republicans ought to take advantage of it is that Bernie Sanders is doing an extremely good job of telling us what a disaster ObamaCare is. And that ObamaCare really has to be replaced. So those two points I think are -- and part of what we are going to be seeing emphasized in the debate when he shows up with the other nine Democrats, and I think he has a strategy of trying to pound on issues to outdo Elizabeth Warren on everything for everybody friend."
