Allen West Lukewarm on Ted Cruz: Good Speech ‘Isn’t Equal to Leadership’ (Mediaite)

The Outnumbered crew roundly praised Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) for his note-less speech to Liberty University announcing his campaign for the GOP nomination Monday morning, but fellow tea partierAllen West was not so impressed.

“Remember, giving a good speech is not equal to leadership,” West counseled.

“We know how that movie ends,” added cohost Andrea Tantaros. “We have one at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.”

West added that he thought Cruz lacked the “presence” required to get down and dirty with despots and autocrats.
