Gov. Inslee: Trump Want’s to Distract Us from Bad Economy with ‘His Blatant, Evil, Heinous Racism’

‘Donald Trump is a failed president on the economy’

EXCERPT:

INSLEE: "The same way with we elected a Democratic governor of Michigan, I was chair of the Democratic Governors Association. We elected seven governors because we focused on job creation, good schools, good roads and bridges, we focused on those meat-and-potato issues. Look, I was in a mosque today talking to folks and I was in Flint, Michigan yesterday talking to people in a mostly black community. And what we are saying is the truth, which is that Donald Trump is a failed president on the economy. He has failed to produce auto industry jobs in Flint. He has failed to bring back jobs in the coal industry and this is a distraction. His blatant, evil, heinous racism is an attempt to distract us from our mission statement which should unify this country and give people economic opportunities that they deserve. I am confident we will be a unified party when we have our nominee around a central message that diversity is a strength and economic opportunities should be a universal thing for all Americans. And we’re going to deliver on that message, I have a way to do it. I hope you listen to that tomorrow night."
