BRENNAN: “He is the only person on the planet who hasn’t thought about it. His battle with Megan Rapinoe, she said she’s not going. Alex Morgan is not going. The U.S. Coach said, I’m not so sure we’re going to get invited. I would be surprised to see this team at the White House. They have staked out this space that I think is very understandable for women. And for women in the case of Megan Rapinoe, women who are openly gay. Because Congress and others are inviting or talking about inviting the women to come to Congress, you could almost see the scene, can’t you? Over 100 women in Congress and, of course, 25 women in the U.S. Senate. That scene in the capitol would be extraordinary. I can’t imagine how Donald Trump would react to that. I’m sure we will talk about it.”
