Hickenlooper: ‘I Have Not Persuaded’ Kamala Harris, Warren, and Sanders Yet to Stay Away from Socialism

‘They are certainly listening’

EXCERPT:

HENRY: "You started in California, continued here in Florida. You were telling your party, 'Stay away from socialism.' Are they listening?"
HICKENLOOPER: "I wouldn’t say they are a wrapped, but they are certainly listening. They recognize, you know, this Medicare-for-all involves taking private insurance away from 180 million people. That is not going to work in America and I think most people realize that. I've just got to convince our candidates that they have to clearly separate themselves from being pinned into the corner as being socialist."
HENRY: "But haven’t they been pinned in the corner? At least three big candidates — Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders — are all saying they want to end private health insurance in the country, so they don’t seem to be listening."
HICKENLOOPER: "Yeah, I have not persuaded them yet."
