Gillibrand: Abortion Will Defeat Trump

GILLIBRAND: "So I see it as a broad-based, all-out attack on women's human rights, because to be able to have autonomy over your body, to be able to have agency over your body and your health and your physical nature is a basic human right and they're trying to undermine those rights by criminalizing medical decisions, criminalizing medical care and trying to take away women's basic civil rights to make the decisions about their bodies. Women should be able to decide when they're having children, how many children they're having, under what circumstances they're having children, and under the Alabama law and the Georgia law, and 30 states have tried to do laws banning abortion or undermining abortion. And it's an all-out attack on women. So I think if this is a fight that President Trump wants to have with America's women, it's a fight he will have and it's a fight he's going to lose, because women are not going to stand for this. We just flipped the House because we were angry enough to get out to vote and run for office. If he tries to take away our basic reproductive freedom, he'll lose the presidency as well."
