MSNBC’s Thomas Roberts: Why Do Clintons Think They’re Above Oversight?

‘They get sloppy on e-mail and they wanted to have a second go at it, which doesn’t appear on its face to be compliant with the spirit of the regulations’

ROBERTS: "So as Chris was pointing out. It was January 13th of '09 they were able to get the domain name registered and then on January 21st of '09 and she was confirmed and then she began using the domain name for the foreseeable future. But the big question is why the president -- the president came out through Josh Earnest saying the president did know it was going to her private e-mail and didn't know the setup of the server. So why did the Clintons think they were above oversight?"
HAYES: "I think the question is why did they do it in the first place. They will argue this was complaint. That basically it was a -- it was complaint in real time but after the fact. I think they did it for the reason that everybody thinks they did it, and they get sloppy on e-mail and they wanted to have a second go at it and which doesn't appear on its face to be compliant with the spirit of the regulations if not the letter."
