Pence: ‘Disappointing’ to Hear Pete Buttigieg Attacks Christians

PENCE: "Well, Pete Buttigieg and I had a good relationship when I was governor and he was serving as mayor in the state of Indiana. Look, I wish him well. If he wins his party's nomination, we'll have a lot more to say about him. What was troubling to me was his assertion and others that was critical of people of our religious beliefs, broadly. I remember a reference to the Mike Pences of the world. And I think every American cherishes the right of each of us to really live out our faith and live out our beliefs. It was disappointing to hear that, but it was just as disappointing when Joe Biden referred to me as a decent guy and was attacked by those who differ with my conservative values and he had to recant that. So, again, this is part of the season that we're in in the life of this nation."
