Byron York on NYT Spying Report: ‘It’s Big News’

‘You only have to remember how angry many Democrats were just last month when the Attorney General, Bill Barr, said spying did occur on the Trump campaign in 2016’

EXCERPT:

YORK: "It is big news. To see that, you only have to remember how angry many Democrats were just last month when the Attorney General Bill Barr said, quote, spying did occur on the Trump campaign in 2016. A lot of angry reaction to that. We knew at the time that the F.B.I. had wiretapped Carter Page and that they had sent a confidential informant, a man named Stephen Halper, to gather information about Papadopoulos. Now we know with the new report that the F.B.I. sent another spy, a confidential agent, a woman who went by the fake name of Azra Turk. We don’t know her real name. But they sent her to London to gather information from George Papadopoulos. Last night on Tucker, Papadopoulos said she used sex appeal to try to get information from him, but that he knew at the start that something was really weird about the whole thing.”
