SANDERS: "Well, look, I just think he needs to run his race and make his case to the American people. Vice President Biden is running for president for three reasons. He wants to restore the soul of this country, rebuild the backbone of this country, and unite the country. And today in Pittsburgh, in just a few minutes, he’ll be talking about rebuilding the backbone, the middle class. I think you can expect the Vice President to talk about how the middle class is not just a number, but it's a set of values. Owning your own home, being able to send your kids to college, being able to take care of your elderly parents, go to work every day and make enough money to put food on the table to feed your family. And I think you’ll also expect the former vice president to hit the note of saying that there a lot of families in this country that have been left behind and we need to get back to rewarding work and not just wealth."
