Obama AG Eric Holder Says No to Allowing 16-Year-Olds to Vote

‘I think there was a fundamental difference between 16-year-old Eric and 18-year-old Eric’

EXCERPT:

HOLDER: "I’m not — I don’t think I’m necessarily in favor of that. I’ll take this one directly. I was 16 and I was 18, and I think there was a fundamental difference between 16 year-old Eric and 18 year-old Eric. I think moving it from 21 to 18 made a great deal of sense. If you're able to serve in the armed services, you know, potentially give your life for your country, I think that is a really good demarcation line. And at that point I think you ought to have the ability if you don’t have the ability to vote."
