Peter King: ‘I’m Reasonably Confident’ Trump Will Sign the Bipartisan Spending Bill

‘I think he realizes that there’s no appetite at all for any more of a government shutdown’

EXCERPT:

WELKER: "This bipartisan spending bill. All signs pointing to the likelihood that it is going to pass through both chambers. I’ve been talking to my sources who say, 'Yes, President Trump is going to sign it.' But he’s still a wild card because he hasn’t committed publicly. Some of your colleagues saying that they’re praying that he signs it. Are you confident that the president is going to sign this spending bill?"
KING: "I am -- I'm reasonably confident. I think he realizes that there’s no appetite at all for any more of a government shutdown." [crosstalk]
WELKER: "Congressman, reasonably? You’re only reasonably confident? So, there is -- you’re not 100 percent confident, I’m hearing you say."
KING: "Well, I never want to prejudge President Trump, OK? I -- again, he is his own man. But again, I’m probably as confident as you can be when you’re dealing with President Trump.”
