FLAKE: "Well, I’m glad that he went to see the troops. Regardless of what was said there, I’m glad he did. That was a good thing for him to do, and I know they appreciated it. The President, not just there, but other places, has talked about the Democrats being solely to blame for our immigration problems. That’s just not the case. I was part of a group that negotiated the deal that we had in 2013, which would have provided about $42 billion in added border security measures, whether it’s fencing, manpower technology and every Democrat in the Senate, every one of them, voted for it. So Democrats are willing to vote for border security, as long as it’s tied to other things that we need to do with regard to immigration reform, like a solution to the DREAMers, like a solution to our guest worker issues."
